[Bug 1449555] Re: password request for cryptswap1 during boot when encrypted home directory selected

2015-05-06 Thread Kokos
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 1447282 ***

I can confirm I have the same issue after the upgrade from Ubuntu GNOME
14.04.2 LTS to Ubuntu GNOME 15.04. Anyone knows a workaround for this?
Do you need any logs or conf files to confirm/resolve it? I can provide
if needed.

[Bug 1355247] Re: STAC9228 / Dell XPS M1530 / Mic needs a boost, very low signal

2014-08-13 Thread Kokos
Hi Raymond, thank you for your reply.

I just tried different models and stayed with dell-BIOS as it was the
last one I've tried - no visible difference to me. Shall I use rather
different model or remove that option at all?

Regarding alsa driver, what would be the best source for the driver?
Shall I use oem-audio-hda-daily-dkms package from ppa:ubuntu-audio-dev
/alsa-daily?

Thank you a lot for confirmation.

Kind regards,
Konrad

[Bug 1355247] [NEW] STAC9228 / Dell XPS M1530 / Mic needs a boost, very low signal

2014-08-11 Thread Kokos
Public bug reported:

Hi,

I cannot force Ubuntu to work with the integrated sound-card in my
laptop it's Dell XPS M1530 and sound card is STAC9228.

Actually it captures sound from mic but its volume is very low, it's too
quiet and needs boost. I already tried few combinations with:

gnome-alsamixer
alsamixer
pavucontrol
and of course I tried following ALSA MODELS:

STAC9227/9228/9229/927x
===
  ref Reference board
ref-no-jd Reference board without HP/Mic jack detection
  3stackD965 3stack
  5stackD965 5stack + SPDIF
  5stack-no-fp D965 5stack without front panel
  dell-3stack Dell Dimension E520
dell-bios Fixes with Dell BIOS setup
volknob Fixes with volume-knob widget 0x24
  auto BIOS setup (default)

Unfortunately it's still very quiet.

I also read on forums (2008ish) that people already had issues with this
configuration but they were able to handle it switching input device to
"digital mic", but I don't have such an option in modern Ubuntu..

Here is my alsa-info result: http://www.alsa-
project.org/db/?f=7af515217ca211337c5c364231b7480eb5575bcb

Please advice things I could check. Thank you.

[Bug 1172065] Re: 12.04.2 incorrect file name signed efi amd6.deb

2013-12-04 Thread Kokos
In "/pool/main/g/grub2-signed" there is a file named: "grub-efi-
amd64-signed_1.9~ubuntu12.04.4+1.99-21ubuntu3.10_amd.deb"

At the end of the file name 2 characters are missing. File should be
named: "grub-efi-
amd64-signed_1.9~ubuntu12.04.4+1.99-21ubuntu3.10_amd64.deb"

Bug in version ubuntu-12.04.3-desktop-amd64

[Bug 243741] [NEW] can't access network (Realtek RTL8102EL LAN)

2008-06-28 Thread Kokos
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24-19-server

I have bought Intel Atom based motherboard - D945GCLF.

It has RTL8102EL ethernet controller installed in a fact.
lspci -nn says that it has: RTL8101E

I have installed Ubuntu Server 8.04.1 from daily snapshots... My network
doesn't work.. It seems like controller works, link is up, but I can't access
any network :/
I see that r8169 kernel module is used..
My kernel version: 2.6.24-19-server
