[Bug 1257153] [NEW] Option "AreaBottomEdge" ignores other areas when active
Public bug reported: Just got a new laptop with one of the infamous "ClickPads," been playing around for a couple hours to get the thing to work decently. After enabling Option "AreaBottomEdge" "82%", I finally got it to ignore movement in the "button" areas, but if I put my finger down in that 18% area first, the top 82% of the touchpad ignores any movement from a second finger. This makes it difficult to perform a click and drag operation. Inversely, if I touch in the top 82% first, then click on the 18% bottom button area, then I still get cursor movement from the top area. It's a workaround I suppose, but not ideal. Still debating about sending this laptop back and buying something from 2011 to meet my "netbook" requirements Using xserver-xorg-input-synaptics 1.7.1-0ubuntu1 on saucy. ** Affects: xserver-xorg-input-synaptics (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1257153 Title: Option "AreaBottomEdge" ignores other areas when active To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics/+bug/1257153/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 563276] Re: No way to tweak multi-finger tap reaction
Using yurivkan/proposed on customized Ubuntu 10.04 Netbook Remix on an EeePC 901. Finally fixes this bug, where startup scripts, udev rules, and x11 configs failed. No issues noticed. [Bug 416359] Re: Totem playing Youtube videos error
This bug still exists in fully updated 9.04 systems. On a related bug, lightpriest wrote a one-line patch that fixes the problem, at least for now. https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/totem/+bug/323649/comments/10 Could this patch be put into -updates for the affected distros and be fixed? -- Totem playing Youtube videos error https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/416359 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 144638] Re: ssh -X and run gnome apps then exit problem
I've had this problem as well. The biggest problem is with forwarding a whole desktop session. On our school's Solaris thin clients, I have the profile set to run "ssh -XCT [EMAIL PROTECTED] startkde" at login. When I logged out from KDE SSH hung, forcing me to use another computer to kill the associated sshd process. This doesn't seem to bother LTSP clients, however. With normal SSH connections I simply close the terminal after a hangup. I've had it freeze on multiple Ubuntu clients, Ubuntu servers, and Solaris clients, all with OpenSSH. -- ssh -X and run gnome apps then exit problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/144638 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
