[Bug 706328] Re: package openoffice.org-writer2xhtml 1.0-10ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1

2011-02-04 Thread L Miller
Bug 709984 is the same as this one - only during the upgrade from 10.04
to 10.10

I have since looked what was reported automatically by Synaptic. It
does not include messages which preceded the abnormal completion code.

It begins with Openoffice is running already I made the
following note recently which it will help others.

110130 10:44 search in system processes - find openoffice.org-server.sh
listed w/ user=docvert - kill it. Sort on user - find 2 more w/ that
user - kill them.

Synaptic then succeeded with clean installations.

2011-01-29 Thread L Miller
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: writer2latex

This occurrance happened during upgrade from 10.04 desktop i386 to 10.10
desktop i386. Is similar to previously opened one in 10.04 during
updates.

Subsequently, I ran a 'completely remove' in Synaptic and it failed to
remove the beast.

2011-01-22 Thread L Miller
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: writer2latex

It happens during updates ever since I went from 9.10 to 10.04. The
summary shows the ...writer2xhtmx. The first msg is 'OpenOffice is

there is a thread, process, or flag which has not been cleared the last
time OpenOffice ran.
