@Pieter, there's nothing to do with unity, the problem is hal, you just need
to install the hal package.

I am working to remove the hal dependency from aptoncd.

Re: [Bug 551181] Re: "Get software" button must be insensitive

2010-04-15 Thread Laudeci Oliveira
The button does nothing, that is the reason to start it at the same status
of arrows button, being enable means that some action could be done.
While enable, users feels like clicking on it something would happen, but
nothing happens. :D

[Bug 551181] [NEW] "Get software" button must be insensitive

2010-03-29 Thread Laudeci Oliveira
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: software-center

the "get software" button on the top next to the back-and-forward
buttons must start insensitive like the other buttons, since you will
have no action if you click the button without navigate to any place
before.

by the way, "get software" means an action similar to download and
install to me, maybe "browse software" would be more appropriate.

[Bug 546484] [NEW] Dialog window show 'switch off' while memenu shows 'shutdown'

2010-03-24 Thread Laudeci Oliveira
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-session

Using two terms for one action would make confusion.
While the MeMenu shows a 'Shutdown' option, the Shutdown dialog shows
information as 'shutdown' but the button shows 'switch off' as it's label.

[Bug 451787] Re: Add udev rules for Sony MD300 GSM modem

2009-10-20 Thread Laudeci Oliveira
The bConfigurationValue was found inspecting the result of the command
$ lsusb -v -s 003:004.

Notice that bConfigurationValue is used by the WMC Device of the modem
with values 2 and 3, both works.

I dont know the meaning of then but i found info that it is related to
comm ports here
http://www.mcci.com/mcci-v5/hostside/usb_drivers_wmc.html

The observation showed that bConfigurationValue=1 always mount the sdb
device, so, trying the values 2 or 3 found on lsub worked to mount it as
modem.

Sorry about my poor knowledge, I hope that it helps.

[Bug 405577] Re: ISO Restored Cache Packages are Ignored by apt-get install

2009-10-14 Thread Laudeci Oliveira
Repository medias are handled by apt-cdrom and not APTonCD.

Try to see if you can use the iso and apt-cdrom to have your iso file as a
valid repository media.
In the manpage it says that you must have the mount point in /etc/fstab as
discrebed below

   -d, --cdrom
Mount point; specify the location to mount the cdrom. This mount
point must be listed in /etc/fstab and properly configured.
   Configuration Item: Acquire::cdrom::mount.
Maybe it works with iso files too...

I am closing this bug since it is has not direct relations with APTonCD but
with apt-cdrom.

Thank you for your report.

Thank you for your comment.

By the way, after restore the iso with aptoncd, try to do an apt-get
update and so do an apt-get install.

The fix and the debdiff is on the way. We lost our package mantainer, that
was the cause of the delay.
