I also have Nvidia drivers, using an Intel i7 machine. Honestly
speaking, I see the potential in Ubuntu as a credible alternative to
Windows and would love to have dedicated Ubuntu machine because the user
experience is far better than with Windows. With virtualbox, I can have
access to Windows applications, however this is the only bug that is
stopping me from being a full convert to Linux / Ubuntu.

For me, I get logged out for no reason whatsoever. There does not seem
to be any observable pattern for this bug. The only constant variable is
that it happens when I'm 'doing stuff' --> Doing stuff means surfing the
web, doing work, etc .... It usually happens while surfing the web, as
that is what I usually do with Ubuntu.

And one thing I observe, when I leave the PC on so that a download can
finish overnight, then it does not log out automatically. Therefore the
only constant variable about this bug is that it only happens when the
machine is idle, but when you are actively doing stuff with the PC, it
happens.

There therefore appears to be no way to predict when the problem will
occur.
