[Bug 1877018] [NEW] Copy and Paste does not paste a clean path anymore

2020-05-05 Thread Leandro Heck
Public bug reported:

Since Ubuntu 19.04, 19.10 and now 20.04 the copy-and-paste is not
working properly.

WHAT I WANT TO DO:

Copy a file/folder with Ctrl+C (in nautilus) then paste the path into
the terminal/text file. This was the nicest and most-used feature. I use
that all the time. Now since some time ago, it does not work anymore.

WHAT HAPPENS:

The text being pasted has some extra info in front of the path.

EXAMPLE:

Ctrl+C with the ~/Downloads folder focused should yeild the path

/home/lheck/Downloads

Now, it gives me this:

x-special/nautilus-clipboard
copy
file:///home/lheck/Downloads

This text is useless when pasted. This is a regression, please, fix this, it is
still broken during 3 Ubuntu releases!!

[Bug 1873613] [NEW] Missing Pyside2 tools

2020-04-18 Thread Leandro Heck
Public bug reported:

Reading this https://reposcope.com/package/pyside2-tools

I see 3 tools should be included, in pyside2-tools

pyside2-rcc - PySide2 resource compiler
pyside2-uic - Python User Interface Compiler for PySide2
pyside2-lupdate - update Qt Linguist translation files for PySide2

It is also in the package information, as it is shown:

pyside2-tools/focal,now 5.14.0-1~exp1ubuntu5 amd64 [installed]
  development tools for PySide2 (uic, rcc, lupdate)

However, only pyside2-lupdate is being installed.

Both pyside2-rcc and pyside2-uic are missing.

They are important for softwares like Freecad.

2018-10-21 Thread Leandro Heck
@Joseph, I was able to install a new kernel. I didn't test the rc7
because I found a rc8 there.

I am running:

Linux moon 4.19.0-041900rc8-lowlatency #201810150631 SMP PREEMPT Mon Oct
15 06:35:44 UTC 2018 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I got other problems with my Dell XPS 15 9570, that I was able to fix.

They were:

1. [drm:intel_pipe_update_end [i915]] *ERROR* Atomic update failure on pipe A
2. nouveau: DRM-master:: suspend failed with -100

The #1 was fixed with:
https://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/intel-microcode-atomic-update.html

The #2 was fixed installing nvidia-driver-390

The systems seems stable now. The touchpad is also working.

[Bug 404579] Re: Printing to file (ps or pdf) do not rotate the sheet

2018-07-31 Thread Leandro Heck
I have this issue for 2 years.
I still have the same issue using Kicad nightly builds.
Version: 6.0.0-rc1-unknown-c0615c5~65~ubuntu18.04.1, release build
See the full version at the end of this message.

1. If I print the schematics in landscape mode:

The page is printed fine in landscape mode. But it appears in portrait
mode in PDF reader like evince. So, I have to rotate the pdf everytime I
read it on my computer.

2. If I print it in portrait mode.

The page is fine, but it fits the schematic that is generally a landscape page,
on a page that is in portrait.

Nice, adding a delay (in autostart entry) to start plank has fixed the problem.
I did this:

sh -c "sleep 5 && plank"

Hi, I still have this bug in Ubuntu 16.10 with the Plank dock. Removing
it from autostart worked as a fix, but I would like to start it with the
login. I appreciate if someone could share a fix or a workaround. Thanks

[Bug 1545653] Re: Unrecognized relocation when compiling

2016-08-16 Thread Leandro Heck
I still having this problem. I am trying to build an app on Ubuntu 16.04
using a separated gcc-toolchain (gcc-4.7.4-linux_x86_64). This toolchain
comes from Mentor Questa which I have to use to build my SystemC
applications. A simple hello world using this toolchain reproduces the
problem.

#include
int main() {
fprintf(stdout, "Hello, world.\n");
return(0);
}

I managed to solve that removing the ld which comes with the external
toolchain by the ld from the system. A simple symbolic link had solved
the problem.

However, I am looking for a more elegant way to change ld like a gcc
flag or an environment variable.

I would like to ask if someone has some idea on how to do that.

By the way, my system is currently configured with:

Package: binutils - Version: 2.26.1-1ubuntu1~16.04.3
Package: libgcc1  - Version: 6.0.1-0ubuntu1
Package: libc6- Version: 2.23-0ubuntu3
Package: gcc  - Version: 5.3.1-1ubuntu1

2016-07-26 Thread Leandro Heck
Hello Hans, thanks for the fast answer.

Ok, I built it from sources using its last release from github. I had to
install gnat-4.9. Could I help to make this package working? If yes, I
would like to get some pointers to be prepared for this task. Thank you.
