[Bug 280762] Re: knetworkmanager under kde4 doesn't recognize the static IP connections that I have configured.

2008-11-17 Thread Lesergi
Hi all,

I have the same problem with Kubuntu Intrepid.

The problem is solved configuring network manually.

* First remove all NetworkManager packages:

sudo apt-get remove network-manager network-manager-kde

*After, edit the file /etc/network/interfaces (change address by yours):

auto lo eth0
iface lo inet loopback

iface eth0 inet static
address 192.168.1.2
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 192.168.1.1

*Finally, reboot or restart network:

sudo service networking restart

I wish this will help you meanwhile this problem is solved.

Bye.

[Bug 153943] Re: Gdebi-kde uses massive amounts of memory!

2008-10-10 Thread Lesergi
Hi!

Confirmed, with Intrepid version the problem is fixed.

In order to install Intrepid version:

Download:
http://fr.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/g/gdebi/gdebi-kde_0.3.13_all.deb
http://fr.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/g/gdebi/gdebi-core_0.3.13_all.deb

And, in download directory, install with:
sudo dpkg -i *.deb
sudo apt-get -f install

This try to install DEB packages, and if there is any dependence not-
installed, it will install it.

Bye!

[Bug 229396] Re: qt-language-select crashs on init (Kubuntu 8.04 / AMD64)

2008-05-15 Thread Lesergi
It happens to me also.

At the moment, I solved this function installing "language-selector"
package, and executing "gnome-language-selector", it has the same
function.

Public bug reported:

I've installed QtParted application and when I want to run it, I can't.
I see that in menu the command application is "qtparted-root", which is

[Bug 220102] Re: Freeze on KDE logout

2008-05-05 Thread Lesergi
Same problem.

Kubuntu 8.04 (Hardy)
KDE 3.5.9
 Linux 2.6.24-17-generic
 fglrx (Radeon X1200 Series)

THIS SOLUTION DOES NOT WORK FOR ME:

 edit: /etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc
 "sudo nano /etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc"
In Section:
 # Core config for local displays
 [X-:*-Core]
change
 # Default is 15 (SIGTERM)
 #TermSignal=15
to
 # Default is 15 (SIGTERM)
 TermSignal=9
