[Bug 1726306] [NEW] Failure to reactivate display after locking
Public bug reported: I'm using a laptop with no external monitors attached (System76 Oryx Pro 2016). After the screen is locked (either manually or via timeout) and it blanks/deactivates the screen, the display remains deactivated and my session is unrecoverable. (I can still ssh into the machine, but have so far been unable to get the display back without rebooting, even via restarting gdm.) It seems somewhat similar to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm3/+bug/1715811 , but it's only after the display is deactivated, and not at boot. The scope of the problem seems to be compounded by the fact that there's no straightforward way to prevent gnome-shell from blanking the screen when it locks. [Bug 1455617] [NEW] External HDMI connection fails after upgrade from nvidia-340
Public bug reported: The computer in question is a retina macbook pro 10,1. I have a television that I normally connect to via the builtin HDMI port. After the upgrade from Ubuntu 14.10 to Ubuntu 15.04 (and thus to the nvidia-346 driver), the television no longer recognizes the connection from the macbook when I plug in the HDMI cable (although the Display Settings app, nvidia-settings, and xrandr do (apparently correctly) see the TV). [Bug 1387711] Re: Unity doesn't respect NET_WM_ALLOWED_ACTIONS
In that case, I have no idea how I'm supposed to remove allowed actions using this atom. [Bug 1243897] Re: MacBookPro10,1 brightness setting has no effect
I was using 310 in 13.04 (and possibly 304 before that; can't remember) - in that case, the brightness control worked intermittently for each suspend/resume cycle. The behavior has become consistent in 13.10; unfortunately, it's consistently the not responding case. [Bug 1244225] [NEW] Display is unrefreshed/corrupted when opening/closing/switching windows and tabs
Public bug reported: When I switch between windows, or switch between tabs in the same window, or switch desktops, part or all of the affected windows often fail to repaint (or repaint and then revert to stale content). Unfocusing/refocusing the affected window usually forces it to repaint again (but may then leave another window stale).
