[Bug 1008014] Re: Package is not installed with ubuntu desktop
@Timo...its not invalid. Its a bug if the package to install the unity ubuntu desktop fails to produce software in a working state, because it has an invalid dependency. The ONLY reason I would have originally uninstalled the compiz-gnome would have been in-advertently, whilst my system was failing to upgrade correctly. Thus, your logic is flawed, this is still very much a bug. When and if this does happen, there shouldn't be a dependency on something that doesn't actually provide what the software needs to function correctly. If you don't think its a bug, what do you call it? Gross package-dependency mismanagement? I'm saying that the kde | gnome part shouldn't be a valid dep configuration. ** Changed in: ubuntu-meta (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = Opinion -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1008014 Title: Package is not installed with ubuntu desktop To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubuntu-meta/+bug/1008014/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
