[Bug 1169623] [NEW] firewire_ohci bug (Failed to reset ohci card)

2013-04-16 Thread Lorenzo Garcia Rivera
Public bug reported:

I'm trying to set up an external firewire audio interface. The interface
(Presonus FP10) has been Reported to work with ffado (see
http://www.ffado.org/?q=devicesupport%2Flistfilter0=Presonusfilter1=op2=ORfilter2[]=**ALL**).

Posible duplicate of bug #1163320, but i want to apport a full report so
i'm creating this new one

This problem happened on an Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS system (Release: 12.04).
Ubuntu Studio amd64.

While expecting the audio interface to be mounted at /dev/fw0 or
something like that, it was not.

I would like to help debugging this but i need some guidance because my
knowledge about linux system is limited. Please tell me what can i do to
help solving this. While waiting some response, i'm going to try with a
newer kernel release as suggested on the coments of bug #1163320 and i
will inform the results.
