[Bug 1182366] Re: [snb 13.04] Random hard hang

2013-06-10 Thread Luís Nabais
This issue remains. I disabled some of the visual effects and now it
only happens about once a week, but still very random... The GPU
temperature is ok, I cleaned the laptop on the inside (CPU fan very
dusty).

[Bug 1182366] Re: 8086:0126 Random GPU which freezes the whole computer, requiring hard reset

2013-05-21 Thread Luís Nabais
Christopher, I never checked the BIOS version, as this laptop is from
the company I work for, but it was very old (about 2 years old), it was
F.08. The latest is F.40 and I updated BIOS a few minutes ago.

The output of the command you said now is:
68SCE Ver. F.40
03/13/2013

I'll be using this system and check if the issue occurrs again. As it's very
random, I can't recreate it right away.
Whatever the result, I'll inform here.

Thanks a lot

2013-05-21 Thread Luís Nabais
Christopher M. Penalver, I thought I already sent the bug report,
however it seems I didn't. That issue happened again a few minutes ago.
After hard resetting the computer again, I reported the bug using
ubuntu-bug as you requested.

Thanks a lot
