[Bug 267035] Re: Patch for WINE to improve Final Fantasy XI performance
As far as I can tell, and also according to comments and the entry on the WINE AppDB (http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=versioniId=2739 ), it has not made its way upstream yet. -- Patch for WINE to improve Final Fantasy XI performance https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/267035 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 267035] [NEW] Patch for WINE to improve Final Fantasy XI performance
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: wine With the adoption of a windowed mode, Final Fantasy XI has been usable on WINE. A patch has been proposed (http://www.nabble.com/0001-Sanity- Check-in-ImmSetCompositionStringA-and-ImmSetC.patch-td18769013.html ) to fix a recursive loop and therefore improve performance of the game itself. Please consider adding this patch to the Ubuntu wine package. ** Affects: wine (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Patch for WINE to improve Final Fantasy XI performance https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/267035 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 182501] KDE4 applications cannot load their plugins
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kde4libs Currently, KDE4 applications cannot load their plugins so their functionality is limited. Example testcase: Open Dolphin Right click inside the fie file manager and select New Expected result: User will be shown different options, including creating new folders, etc. Actual result: Only link to device is shown, which points to nothing. A consequence is that links (.desktop files, not symbolic links) to URLs (even local URLs like a folder) do not work. A closer examination shows that there isn't a global syscoca database (but perhaps that was intentional?) and that it is impossible to create one (KDE4 programs deadlock as root), but it may be a separate issue. As the described behavior does not occur on KDE 4.0.0 compiled from sources, it is probably a packaging bug. ** Affects: kde4libs (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- KDE4 applications cannot load their plugins https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/182501 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 182093] Patch to prevent GTK+ applications with system tray icons from crashing in KDE 4.0
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace-bin Currently Plasma exposes a GTK+ bug with ARGB visuals that will make GTK+ applications crash. The fix is in already for the KDE 4.0 branch, but on the same bug report there is also a patch for 4.0.0 which should be backported as it is pretty important. [Bug 85488] Re: Canon Lide25 (plustek backend) scanner does not scan via gui
It is *not* a problem of the specific backend, as the snapscan backend (as I already stated) is affected too. [Bug 93515] Regression from edgy: Unable to scan properly
Public bug reported: Since upgrading to Feisty I'm unable to scan properly using SANE. My scanner is an Acer (now BenQ) 640BU: it uses the snapscan backend and requires a firmware upload. Steps to reproduce: 1. Connect the scanner 2. Open kooka or xsane 3. Do a preview scan Actual result: After scanning, the lamp doesn't return to its former position (it's also turned off) and the scanner is hung - doesn't accept new commands, and doesn't show up on scanimage -L either. Only by physically turning it off and back on it is seen by the kernel again, but however the problem remains. Expected result: The preview scans completes normally. I'll attach lsusb, my snapscan.conf and a dmesg if possible. ** Affects: sane-backends (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Regression from edgy: Unable to scan properly https://launchpad.net/bugs/93515 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

At the end of the upgrade, the update tool reported an error with dpkg, but only printed out the last line of the error, making it rather uninformative. Upstream has removed the dependency from tetex regarding kile's documentation, so the next version of kile should support both tetex and texlive: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=138282 However, as I pointed out in an earlier comment, the problem also resides within kdvi (as bug #76969 points out: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdegraphics/+bug/76969) -- Kile dependencies should be changed to allow texlive https://launchpad.net/bugs/74233 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 74233] Kile dependencies should be changed to allow texlive
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: kile Currently Kile depends on several packages coming from tetex. However, with tetex no longer being mantained and with texlive in universe, I think the dependencies should be relaxed to allow installation with either texlive or tetex.
