[Bug 416839] Re: 100% processor in use when using card reader
I tested the Mainline kernel, both yesterday's daily build (2.6.34-999.201003141003) and with the RC1 (2.6.34-020634rc1) and both of them had a kernel panic just after GRUB. I'm writing from Lucid alpha 3, which is running as live CD. The load is still high, but not as high as it used to be. At least the mouse cursor moves quite smoothly. -- 100% processor in use when using card reader https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/416839 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hi Jeremy, this issue is still here in Karmic with latest update, and here you can see apport data. I'm downloading Lucid alpha 3 right now and will test it. I'm also downloading the Mainline kernel, and will try it both in Karmic and in Lucid. [Bug 318732] [NEW] Xorg doesn't properly configure nVidia and WXGA screen in Jaunty alpha 3
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: xorg I just downloaded and burned Jaunty Alpha 3, and it doesn't configure my screen properly on my laptop. The laptop is an Acer Aspire 5633 WLMi with a nVidia GeForce Go 7300 and a WXGA (1280x800) screen. The screen remains completely black, except 2 groups of 4 pixel each on the top of the screen that are white. It works in Safe Graphics Mode, but of course the resolution is only 800x600. I think that this might be due to the nv driver, that used to have some problems with this card/screen. If I'm not wrong, Intrepid worked well, while Gutsy needed the safe mode too. ** Affects: xorg (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Xorg doesn't properly configure nVidia and WXGA screen in Jaunty alpha 3 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/318732 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 42052] Re: Screen not locked on resume from hibernate/suspend
I think that this is not a gnome-only issue, I have the same one with Kubuntu Intrepid with KDE4. [Bug 292575] [NEW] Gparted: no label editing before writing
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gparted Sorry for the unclear title, I didn't know how to summarize the issue. I'm using gparted 0.3.8 in Intrepid Live CD. When you try to assign a label everything works fine, and 'Set Partition Label "WHATYOUWANT" to /dev/sda1' is shown in the list of pending operations. However, if you try to edit it again before applying changes made, you'll have another 'Set Partition Label...' in the list of pending operations. IMHO there should be only one entry with the new label. ** Affects: gparted (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: gparted label -- Gparted: no label editing before writing https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/292575 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
