[Bug 1791913] [NEW] HP EliteBook 840 G5 only able to initialise displays on first docking
Public bug reported: I'm running a HP EliteBook 840 G5 and HP UlstraSlim Docking Station with two external DisplayPort displays (both 1080p). Upon docking the machine for the first time the two external displays come up as expected. Upon removal the internal display continues to work as expected, but the external displays never come up. Dock verified good and working with another machine. This is still a problem for me running Ubuntu 13.10. I've just discovered it through using Rhythmbox's rb.Loader class to work with Gio (which in turn calls Gio.file_new_for_uri(), file.load_contents_async() and file.load_contents_finish()). Debug log, generated using "sudo brasero --debug &> /home/hannah/debug.txt". Ran with sudo to see if this solved it, thinking maybe the user didn't have permissions to access a specific library or device.
