This is very interesting. It seems like it might be a mouse issue, do you have a regular plug and play mouse or a specialty mouse? Maybe the driver is messed up and you just noticed it in Firefox because of the amount of menus and navigation bars there are? I will ask and see if anyone has heard anything about this issue.
