[Bug 539851] Re: [drm:radeon_dvi_detect] *ERROR* HDMI Type A-1: probed a monitor but no|invalid EDID

2010-08-24 Thread MXIIA
I may have installed it incorrectly, but I installed the headers and the
kernel for amd64 from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-
ppa/mainline/v2.6.35.3-maverick/ and upon booting I get "request_module:
runaway loop modprobe char-major-5-1" as an error

I am using 10.04 AMD64 version. I could post my dmesg and lspci if
needed to help solve this issue.

[Bug 254389] Re: if i have used sound, lets say on a java applet online...and i close that and launch a media player like totem, i get no sound from totem, i have to restart my computer

2009-12-28 Thread MXIIA
I do not believe it is the sound card, as myself and many friends that
use Ubuntu 9.10 report this same problem.

When I open Rhythmbox first, once a song is finished, the java applet
takes sound over.

** Summary changed:

- if i have used sound, lets say on a java applet online...and i close that and
launch a media player like totem,i get no sound from totem,i have to restart my
computer
+ If I have used sound, for example on a Java applet online...and I close that
and launch a media player like totem, I get no sound from totem, I have to
restart my computer to enable totem's sound.
