[Bug 1263699] Re: vmhgfs loaded after filesystems are mounted

2014-03-16 Thread Maarten Boekhold
No update on this? I can't imagine that I'm the only person affected by
this... If I *am* the only person affected then I must have done
something really stupid and I'd really like to know what!

[Bug 902852] Re: lightdm.conf : autologin-user-timeout doesn t work

2012-08-08 Thread Maarten Boekhold
Any update on the release of this fix as (seemingly) proposed by @Marc
Balmer? I'm running lightdm 1.2.1-0ubuntu1.1 (just did a do-release-
upgrade -d last night) on precise, and this isn't working yet...

[Bug 834078] Re: Missing lens shortcuts (Super-A, Super-F)

2011-11-18 Thread Maarten Boekhold
Confused by the last status update. Does this bug still exist in unity-
2d? I'm asking cos I can't for the world of me get Super-A/F/...
working. I'm tied to unity-2d since I am inside a VMWare VM.

[Bug 588343] [NEW] Cannot create archive in Lucid due to grub error

2010-06-01 Thread Maarten Boekhold
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mondo

When running sudo mondoarchive, it reports an error once it reaches the
state where it builds the file catalog (or shortly after):

boekh...@boekhold:/mnt$ sudo mondoarchive
Initializing...
See /var/log/mondoarchive.log for details of backup run.
WARNING: Module loop not found.
Checking sanity of your Linux distribution
Done.
---FATALERROR--- The de facto standard location for your boot loader's config
file is /etc/grub.conf but I cannot find it there. What is wrong with your
Linux distribution? Try 'ln -s /boot/grub/menu.lst /etc/grub.conf'...
If you require technical support, please contact the mailing list.
See http://www.mondorescue.org for details.
The list's members can help you, if you attach that file to your e-mail.
Log file: /var/log/mondoarchive.log
FYI, I have gzipped the log and saved it to /var/cache/mondo/MA.log.gz.
Mondo has aborted.
Execution run ended; result=254
Type 'less /var/log/mondoarchive.log' to see the output log

Seems like it's looking for the grub.conf file in the wrong location. The text
above suggests making a symlink, but I've seen reports on the Net that that
will fail during a restore because it expects /etc/grub.conf to be a real file,
not a symlink.
