[Bug 633380] Re: Xorg freeze on intel GM45 during high load (io and cpu)
Again - computer froze while copying large file via Gigabit ethernet (most of the memory was used by buffers). Meaby the key to all this is no swap on my machine? Will try to do more test with swap enabled. -- Xorg freeze on intel GM45 during high load (io and cpu) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/633380 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 633380] Re: Xorg freeze on intel GM45 during high load (io and cpu)
If you need any more debug information/specific files just write, i'll provide. The bug is pretty much reproducable.
I've just recreated it. Same scenario - memory almost full, launching a memory intensive app will result in lockup - when computer hits that memory limit and starts swapping. -- Xorg freeze on intel GM45 during high load (io and cpu) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/633380 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 633380] [NEW] Xorg freeze on intel GM45 during high load (io and cpu)
Public bug reported: I've just updated to 10.10 beta (I have all yesterday's updates). This is the second lockup, which occured when I launched a resource-heavy, java based application (it didn't finish starting). I left the system for a while before rebooting. Just moments before reboot i switched the WiFi killswitch - you can see that in debug log. Trying to access console doesn't work (CTRL+ALT+1).
