[Bug 462939] Re: [i855GM] Lid close with intel 82852/855GM provokes black screen, loss of control and overheat
The nomodeset parameter worked on my D400. I don't have a xorg.conf, just running with Ubuntu default, no special options. -- [i855GM] Lid close with intel 82852/855GM provokes black screen, loss of control and overheat https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/462939 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 468398] [NEW] [Dell Computer Corporation Latitude D400] closing laptop lid freezes computer
Public bug reported: After upgrading to Karmic my laptop freezes hard when I close the lid. It doesn't matter if the power manager is set to hibernate, suspend or just blank screen. Both hibernate and suspend works fine when triggered from power button or menu. This is a karmic issue, as it worked perfectly in Jaunty and previous releases. ProblemType: KernelOops Annotation: This occured during a previous hibernate and prevented it from resuming properly.
