[Bug 1510768] Re: GoPro Hero4 camera not recognized as MTP device

2015-11-05 Thread Magnum
Hi Martin,

Installed mtp-tools... here is the output of mtp-detect:

bruno@Nira-Notebook:~$ sudo mtp-detect
libmtp version: 1.1.9

Listing raw device(s)
   No raw devices found.

During the weekend I was able to plug a gopro hero3 and it worked OK. Seem to
be something related only to Hero4 models.

[Bug 1389077] Re: [HP ProBook 4530s] Intel Powerclamp is Slowing CPU

2015-11-04 Thread Magnum
Same here. running kubuntu 15.10 on a LG laptop.

I disabled the intel_powerclamp using this method:

 - Opened the "/etc/thermald/thermal-cpu-cdev-order.xml" file.
 - Removed the line referencing the intel_powerclamp.
 - Issued an "service thermald stop/start".

This is probably easier than removing the whole kernel module.

[Bug 1086847] Re: mutt (libtokyocabinet8) crashes when fetching IMAP-headers

2013-02-16 Thread Magnum
in Ubuntu 12.10 compiling mutt with

$./configure --enable-imap --enable-hcache --with-bdb --without-
tokyocabinet --with-included-gettext --sysconfdir=/etc --with-ssl
--with-gnutls

works well. Also charctersets are working well. Under Linux Mint 12 i
can't get the charactersets working.

Works also unter linux Mint 12. libncursesw5-dev was missing.

I would appreciate, if the mutt-package would not longer be compiled
with libtokyocabinet-support

As Mauricio said, this is a change in the IPP-Version; not a bug. So i do not
think, that this will change in the future. One has to have the same

[Bug 1086847] [NEW] mutt (libtokyocabinet8) crashes when fetching IMAP-headers

Public bug reported:

mutt (1.521-5) crashes very often when fetching IMAP-headers. Hole

This happens with several IMAP-servers on several mailaccounts.

I compiled mutt agains Berkeley DB 4.8.30 and this does not happen. So I
think the real problem is libtokyocabinet8 (1.4.37-6.1) which is used fr
the headercache.

[Bug 545789] Re: Evolution mail Inbox sort problem

2010-10-15 Thread Magnum
I also have this issue in evolution 2.30.3-1ubuntu6 under Maverick
64bits My system is all in english so I don't think this is a
language related issue...

I noted that the problem occurs when any kind of sort is used,
regardless the field used (by date, by from, by subject...)

I also noted that the problem only occurs when you make some change to
the list of e-mails (delete a message, for example)...

I reproduce the problem in the following way:
1 - sort the messages in the list by subject
2 - Click on one message so it will open in the preview panel
3 - Click on the message and delete It
4 - At this time, the evolution jumps to the message below the deleted one
and at this point it release the sorting,

I attached 2 screenshots showing the sort problem...
1- messages sorted by subject
2- After the message deletion, showing that the sort was disabled (the column
lost the arrow, indication that it isn't sorted)..

** Attachment added: messages sorted by subject

[Bug 300965] Re: updatedb.mlocate crashes the machine, when the backupcc-pool becomes huge

2009-11-25 Thread Magnum
Here the descritpion of the problem:
The daily updatedb-job crashes, when the filesystem becomes too large. If this
depends on the number of files or size of all files i don't know. The
BackuPC-Pool becomes very soon very huge (in my case about 250GB with al huge
number of files).

As there is no real advantage in taking the BackupPC-Pool-Files in the
updatedb i think a solution would be to add '/var/lib/backuppc' to
PRUNEPATHS in /etc/updatedb.mlocate.

It' quite likely, that updatedb would crash with other Filessystems
which become huge as well but i don't know.

This is all what i can add to this case, if it is not enough i
appologize.

Hi, luckyly the problem is solved. The old pwd has the Ñ character, so I
just choose a new pwd without Ñ and now all is going perfect.By the way, is
a pleasure help a so good product as Ubuntu. Thanks to you and the Ubuntu
team for the great OS that give us.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. Does you password contain any special characters with accents
in them? It may be that an incorrect keyboard layout is not making it
so that the characters being entered are not the ones you think they
are. One way to verify this would be to type your password in the
username box and see if it looks right. Thanks in advance.

[Bug 99565] password authentication bug

2007-04-03 Thread maGNUm
Public bug reported:

First at all, sorry for my poor english as I'm argentinian. I have
downloaded the Feisty Fawn Beta release (!386) and the pwd that I choose
in the installation give me an Authentication Error in the login
screen. So I change the pwd using the root acount (in the recovery mode)
and treated to login again, but the problem persist.
