[Bug 945006] Re: Screen flickers heavily after upgrading to 12.04 beta 1
I'm not sure if my problem is exactly the same as this, but I also get heavy flickering and graphic bugs that was not present in 11.10. My work around: I compiled and installed the nvidia-current package from 11.10 (version 280.13-0ubuntu6.1) for 12.04 amd64. Then I had to add the following to my /etc/X11/xorg.conf Section ServerFlags Option IgnoreABI 1 EndSection I also added the following line to /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf (Not sure if this is necessary) blacklist nouveau So far I have had no flickering. My compiled version of the driver can be found at: http://www.sandin.cx /nvidia-current_280.13-0ubuntu6.1_amd64.deb -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/945006 Title: Screen flickers heavily after upgrading to 12.04 beta 1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/945006/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 600453] Re: [arrandale] [i915] DELL E6510: blank screen on boot (Intel GPU)
Tested AMD64 kernel from comment #185 with Dell E6510, Core i5, Full HD. * Internal LCD works. * External monitor connected with HDMI/Display Port works. * External monitor connected with VGA - NOT Tested. * Suspend/Resume does not suspend properly, wakes up as soon as it is suspended, however no crashes. Have a similar problem with brightness as in comment #186. When reducing back light one step, it first reduces one step and after like 500ms it reduces another step... -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/600453 Title: [arrandale] [i915] DELL E6510: blank screen on boot (Intel GPU) -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 571022] Re: Tries to find text/html decoder
+1, me too. I get this problem every time our web-mail / calendar pop up a reminder since it tries to play a notification sound. This worked perfectly in 9.10 but not after a fresh install of 10.04 LTS. Any workaround for this? -- Tries to find text/html decoder https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/571022 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
