I install old 2.6.12 Breezy kernel and the bug is not present on this kernel. Reassuming the bug is on 2.6.17 Edgy kernel, 2.6.15 Dapper kernel, but not on 2.6.12 Breezy kernel, so some patch introduced between Breezy and Dapper release cause this bug. Public bug reported: The network interface of my laptop an Acer Aspire 1603 work for only few seconds and after that, others computers become unreachable. If I restart network the network just start to work for few seconds and then stop again. If I run ifconfig the network interface is up and I can ping it from local. I think this is a bug on kernel module or something related, because if I plug a 3com wirless usb card and use ndiswrapper drivers I have no network problem. Caroline, yes I think so. I request on IRC to other person to test this and they reported me the bug on Ubuntu and on Debian. I test the bug on other distro and it works. Note I discover this bug first time on Gentoo and reported it on Bugzilla https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=311956. Hi kai, the problem is stil here. And I can't find a solution. I install kdewebdev-dbg and try to get the core dump with no lack. So I ca't determine when the crash happen and how to reproduce it. I try with Valgrind too, but is impossibile to work with quanta because is to much slow. What I discover is that the crash happens more often after the first crash. This let me suppose that the memory is dirty. Another consideration is that I work on files via ftp and I think that the problem is not quanta but KIO slave, but sumone that know kde better may be can tell me how to get a core dump, if this is the case. I hope you understand my poor english.
