I have found that With CCSM under the plugin Window Rules : 1. Adding class=Gmusicbrowser to the field Non Minimizable Windows breaks the active yet invisible window horrible bug. 2. Adding class=Gmusicbrowser to the field Maximized works around the never starts maximized bug but obviously you won't be able to un-maximize with that rule active. Btw these described bugs happen to me in Unity 5.18 (12.04) independently of gMB layout. However, they disappear completely in Unity 2D. I loved to use Wallch to auto-change my wallpaper randomly or to use the nice features it has such as picture of the day or real time earth. But with this feature that has proven to be more of a bug than a feature since it won't obey and has alienated the user, I can't use it anymore. The OSD I have fixed thanks to notifyosdconfig but all of the tools to change the dash colour (CCSM, MyUnity, Unsettings, Ubuntu Tweak) are overritten by this terrible piece of terrible code. If it's an unexperience mistake, thus bad supervision of the project, I can forgive that. So if I have 12.04.2 that I freshly installed this won't be fixed? How do I get it then? Was it released as a package or some source that I can download? if it is simple to modify as Doug says, can I do it myself? [Bug 862873] Re: No setting exists to run Dash with a black background in Oneiric
This seriously needs to be fixed, I'll try to find a hack for this cause neither compiz, myunity or appearance settings have anything that will get this fixed. So far the only thing I found is increasing transparency settings in ccsmunityexperimental that will turn the launcher black, the dash exactly as I want it and the notifications with chameleon. As the only alternative to being annoyed and hate unity is to have a dark grey wallpaper and hate unity. $ eject -i 1 CD-Drive may NOT be ejected with device button and yet it can...
