[Bug 1867447] [NEW] qemu-kvm crashes early during boot on Intel Merom CPU
Public bug reported: Package: seabios Version: 1.13.0-1 In a freshly installed (approx. 7 days ago), fully updated focal system on x86_64, I tried to run a simple KVM VM with qemu-kvm, seabios and configured by libvirt. It contained an approx. 7 days old ubuntu-server install ISO for Ubuntu focal and a LV. When starting the VM, it immediately goes into paused state. The log reveals that it has crashed: KVM internal error. Suberror: 1 emulation failure The host contains an Intel Merom CPU (mobile successor of Intel Conroe). Libvirt's attempt at guest CPU configuration resulted in: -cpu Conroe,vme=on,vmx=on,cx16=on,x2apic=on,tsc- deadline=on,hypervisor=on,arat=on,tsc-adjust=on,arch-capabilities=on ,skip-l1dfl-vmentry=on No attempt at reconfiguring the guest CPU was successful. I noticed, however, that the same software could boot the VM on a different Computer with a Sandy Bridge CPU, that was modeled by libvirt as: -cpu SandyBridge-IBRS,vme=on,vmx=on,pcid=on,hypervisor=on,arat=on,tsc- adjust=on,umip=on,md-clear=on,stibp=on,arch- capabilities=on,ssbd=on,xsaveopt=on,ibpb=on,amd-ssbd=on,skip-l1dfl- vmentry=on Also, with version 1.12.0-1 of seabios from Ubuntu eoan, the VM boots fine on the Merom CPU. [Bug 525046] Re: NETDEV WATCHDOG: eth0 (tg3): transmit queue 0 timed out
I also experienced this problem a few times. Running 10.04 LTS here. [Bug 375655] Re: evolution filtering freezes with panel notification enabled
I get the same here with Evolution 2.28.1-0ubuntu2 on Ubuntu 9.10. At some point receiving mail (using IMAP4 here) just stops working (checked mail as well using webmail and I received new mail which doesn't show in Evolution) and it hangs on the filtering new messages. When I try to quit Evolution it just hangs completely, and I have to kill it (evolution --force-shutdown). Same message here when starting. I'm using the MS Exchange connector (evolution-exchange), which is still at 2.24.2-0ubuntu1 while the rest of the evolution stuff is at 2.24.3-0ubuntu1. Maybe this one should also be updated? [Bug 231336] [NEW] Cannot login after adjusting time
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gdm When my PC boots up sometimes the CMOS is reset (probably something wrong with the CMOS battery). After the Ubuntu login screen it displays a popup saying that the system time is probably not correct, offering you the option to adjust it or ignore it. When I click ignore it logs in fine. But when I choose to adjust it shows the time and date settings dialog (but without a border, and in the upper-left of the screen). [Bug 10239] Re: dhcp3-client: Does not send hostname to server by default
Update: I now have a fresh installation and after adding the line send fqdn.server-update on to dhcient.conf (the default one after installation) it works here, I can lookup my IP via nslookup hostname again. Without it it doesn't work. -- dhcp3-client: Does not send hostname to server by default https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/10239 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 105579] Re: Evolution-exchange crash when using autocomplete of mail addresses from Exchange Global Address List
Same here (running Evolution 2.10.1-0ubuntu2 under Feisty), connected to an Exchange server and using the global address list. The last time it crashed under Feisty I had to restart X since everything seemed to hang. Actually it also crashed frequently when it tried to autocomplete an address under the Evolution versions in Dapper and Edgy. -- Evolution-exchange crash when using autocomplete of mail addresses from Exchange Global Address List https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/105579 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 10239] Re: dhcp3-client: Does not send hostname to server by default
Just checked: I don't have any DHCP related errors in the log file. When I did a nslookup hostname or nslookup hostname.domain.com it returned an old IP address I had a few weeks ago. Then I did sudo dhclient -r eth0 to release, replaced hostname in dhclient.conf with the actual hostname followed by a sudo dhclient eht0. Then I did a nslookup again and then nslookup couldn't resolve it anymore. When I use this instead: send fqdn.fqdn hostname.domain.com; send fqdn.server-update on; it does work, but I don't want to send a fqdn since I use my laptop at other sites too. Weird indeed.. -- dhcp3-client: Does not send hostname to server by default https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/10239 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
