[Bug 2057484] Re: kernel worker event freezes during traffic on iwlwifi
I'm not sure the problem I'm having is exactly the same, but I also can't get any kernel after 6.5.0-21 to properly boot up on my laptop with an Intel wifi card. I'm attaching the portion of kern.log where a bunch of kernel worker tasks are reported as timed out; that happened, IIRC, after I tried to shut down the system by hitting the power button. The system wasn't really usable since most processes weren't able to start, so I couldn't really do a lot of investigation. Even trying to do "sudo blah" or just "ifconfig" would hang indefinitely. If it's any help, I have a bunch of options set for the Intel wifi driver: options iwlwifi power_save=0 options iwlmvm power_scheme=1 options iwldvm power_scheme=1 options lwlwifi bt_coex_active=enable ** Attachment added: "Kernel worker timeout reports from kern.log" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-signed-hwe-6.5/+bug/2057484/+attachment/5756935/+files/kern.log -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2057484 Title: kernel worker event freezes during traffic on iwlwifi To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux-signed-hwe-6.5/+bug/2057484/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1968957] Re: Cheese displays red-green lines in 22.04
I face the same issue while opening cheese. All the image preview is completed with several lines from green to grey and red and intermittently the colors might change. It happens on both modes, photo and video. I have tested the webcam on a website and it works fine, so that confirms is not a hardware failure. I also was able to notice that this same image issue happens when trying to reproduce any video using the own system 'videos' application. Then I checked using VLC and the symptom doesn't happen. I am using Ubuntu Jammy Jellyfish (development branch). I could collect logs from Apport and was going to issue a bug report, but I found this one here which seems to report the same question. If there is anyway I can attach the logs from Apport here, please let me know. [Bug 1945989] [NEW] Check for changes relevant for security certifications
Public bug reported: [Impact] When producing a new version of some kernels, we need to check for changes that might affect FIPS or other certs and justify why a commit was kept or removed. To simplify this process we can add an automated check that will abort the kernel preparation and build when such changes exist without a justification. [Test Plan] Check if the kernel preparation fails (cranky close) when one of a security certification changes is added. [Where problems could occur] No kernels should be affected until we enable this check on each one. Even when enabled, that only affects the kernel preparation and not the resulting kernel. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Marcelo Cerri (mhcerri) Status: New ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu Bionic) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Marcelo Cerri (mhcerri) Status: New ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu Focal) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Marcelo Cerri (mhcerri) Status: New ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu Impish) Importance: Undecided Assignee: Marcelo Cerri (mhcerri) Status: New ** Also affects: linux (Ubuntu Bionic) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: linux (Ubuntu Focal) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: linux (Ubuntu Impish) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu Bionic) Assignee: (unassigned) => Marcelo Cerri (mhcerri) ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu Impish) Assignee: (unassigned) => Marcelo Cerri (mhcerri) ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu Focal) Assignee: (unassigned) => Marcelo Cerri (mhcerri) ** Summary changed: - Check for changes relevant for security certification + Check for changes relevant for security certifications -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1945989 Title: Check for changes relevant for security certifications To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1945989/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
