[Bug 477612] Re: Monitor shuts down when launching live cd (Karmic)
I've got the same. I've tried several monitors and hardware configurations. It's look like Ubuntu is not working properly with some graphic cards. In my case it is GeForce 7600 GS. On GF 4 and ATI HD 4570 works fine. Look like he is using resolution higher than maximum of screen. Switching safe mode doesn't help, using vga=771 mode also doesn't. I've tried Ubuntu 9.10 and Ubuntu amd64 9.10, the result is the same. I also tried to install on different graphic card and then switch to GF 7600, and install nvidia drivers (185 and 190). The result was the same. Also trying turn off ACPI mode on LiveCD and/or in BIOS, no result. -- Monitor shuts down when launching live cd (Karmic) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/477612 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
