[Bug 1295030] Re: Please backport latest ntfs-3g to precise and trusty
A severe side-effect of the old version (currently used in Ubumtu 14.04) is described at http://askubuntu.com/questions/597815/ntfs-3g-failed-to- decompress-file Not just inability to access Windows 8 compressed files (or others too?), but leads to a disk space DOS, essentially killing the Linux OS until the mess gets cleaned up. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1295030 Title: Please backport latest ntfs-3g to precise and trusty To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ntfs-3g/+bug/1295030/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1281312] [NEW] irrecoverable blank Xwindows after install other window managers
Public bug reported: Auto-login selected at installation time. After installing other window managers from synergy, such as gnome, kde, cairo-dock, etc. logging out, selecting any other than Lubuntu, enters a blank Xwindows screen with only the mouse pointer. NO right-click menu. NO functioning CTRL ALT Backspace to end the session. The only way to stop X is from another terminal, stop lightdm for instance. HOWEVER, start lightdm returns to the same stuck screen with no options or apps whatsoever. Not even ALT F2 works to launch things. Editing ~/.dmrc or removing it does not help. [Bug 997024] Re: python-twisted-core is blocking upgrade
Found files /var/lib/dpkg/updates/: Package: python-twisted-core Status: install reinstreq half-installed Priority: optional Section: python Version: 11.0.0-2 /var/lib/dpkg/updates/0002: Package: python-twisted-core Status: install reinstreq half-installed Priority: optional Section: python Version: 11.0.0-2 Triggers-Awaited: man-db Cleared out the files in /var/lib/dpkg/updates but after another cycle of dpkg --configure -a apt-get update -f apt-get install -f they reemerged.
