[Bug 738117] Re: Spotify prevents Ubuntu from shutting down on first try

2013-03-18 Thread Marcusklaas
Fabio, you are only half correct. Indeed this not *only* an Ubuntu issue
because of course Spotify should just shutdown when it receives this
signal. But Ubuntu should be able to manage applications which are not
well behaved. For example, it should either show a dialog asking to kill
the blocking process or just do this automatically after a certain
timeout.

[Bug 963074] Re: gvfsd-sftp crashed with SIGSEGV in g_vfs_job_emit_finished()

2012-04-02 Thread Marcusklaas
i don't know about the original poster, but i was just playing music
from an SSH share. was playing some music off of it and doing some
indexing from the share at the same time. it is big share with thousands
of songs so maybe that's why it crashed. most of it was already indexed
but not all so i told rhythmbox to import the share again. not much
later it crashed

Hai. I ran the command you have given and then played a song. Sorry for
the big size (6.5mb). Hope this is of some help.

[Bug 844881] Re: Windows from another workspace displayed in gnome shell's overview

2011-11-11 Thread Marcusklaas
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 848198 ***
https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/848198

This cannot be a duplicate of that bug. It says the bug is fixed and
distributed, but I am fully up to date on my software and this behaviour
still occurs. Using Ubuntu 11.10 64bit and gnome-shell. I've got an AMD
VGA (HD5770) using open source drivers.

[Bug 886721] [NEW] gnome-shell no close button in activities view after suspend

2011-11-05 Thread Marcusklaas
Public bug reported:

When resuming after a suspend, the window close buttons are no longer
drawn in activities mode. Not only are they no longer visible, there is
also no space to click to actually close the applications. It really is
like the buttons are not there at all. I am on Ubuntu 11.10 64bit. I do
have a custom shell theme. I double checked that the window close
buttons reappear after a full reboot.

[Bug 886722] [NEW] rhythmbox sftp remember forever option doesn't work

2011-11-05 Thread Marcusklaas
Public bug reported:

I have imported songs from an sftp share. The way I did this was:
connect to the share in Nautilus and add it as a bookmark. Then I opened
rhythmbox and imported the relevant folders in that bookmark. The sftp
share is ofcourse password protected, but I don't want to enter it each
time I start Rhythmbox. I select the option remember forever. But it
doesn't! After each reboot/ suspend, I have to enter my username,
password again.

[Bug 253980] Re: pidgin randomly crashes with Segmentation fault

2009-11-05 Thread Marcusklaas
Yes, I also had this segmentation fault. I muted sounds and things were
fine, as Ryan suggested. I am running 9.10 with Gfire plugin on 64 bit.
It only crashed when I typed an instance message and pressed enter to
send it. It would crash every time. If I sent the message with send
button (from plugin) it would send the messege just fine. Please fix!
