[Bug 1969285] [NEW] Wayland session unavailable after upgrade from 21.10
Public bug reported: After upgrading from 21.10 to beta 22.04 the Wayland session is no longer available. By default, I do not even get the option to select the session type but if I lock the screen, the login screen changes from the X11 UI to the Gnome UI and the bottom right button appears. When clicking on the session selector button the screen blanks out and then returns to a X11 session login screen (X11 session works as expected). I thought this was related to the https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1960898 because I had the dash-to-dock extension in 21.10 but after attempting the gsettings fix, it still did not work. I also removed the extension but Wayland still does not work. I installed lightdm and switched to it for a successful Wayland session for now. [Bug 726902] Re: Loss of vsync when using Metacity.
I can confirm this bug is still an issue on Intel (core i3) last updated 4/19/11. It works fine in Compiz, but tears in Metacity. Are there plans to fix this or do we need to hack around for a proper xorg.conf? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/726902 Title: Loss of vsync when using Metacity. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 728101] Re: [gm45] Closing laptop lid causes screen to freeze
I can confirm this is happening to me as well on Asus U35F-X1, core i3. I start the music player, close the lid, and 10 minutes later when I open it back up the desktop is frozen but I can still move the mouse cursor. I cannot switch between applications that are already open. I can switch to console mode with Ctrl+Alt+F1 and issue sudo restart gdm. In power settings I have the screen set to blank when the lid is closed. I am running the Ubuntu Classic desktop 64 bit. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/728101 Title: [gm45] Closing laptop lid causes screen to freeze -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 728101] Re: [gm45] Closing laptop lid causes screen to freeze
I forgot to add (in comment #3) that this was never an issue in 10.10 on the same laptop.
[Bug 364844] Re: network-manager-vpnc produces incorrect routing table
The following setting Use this connection only for resources on its network is checked by default on Ubuntu 10.10 and it disables the networking completely after connecting to the VPN server. I had no idea why I was able to connect to the VPN server but I couldn't connect to anything else after that. Un-checking the box (I assume it disables any kind of split) restores the tunneled traffic.
