2010-03-02 Thread Mark Dehus
This still appears to be broken in Jaunty, any chance it will be
patched?

[Bug 85145] Re: run-init crashes when root is unionfs on nfs

2008-02-07 Thread Mark Dehus
I just tried this out under Gutsy and get the same problem, did the
backported fix not get carried over to the Gutsy kernel? I am running
2.6.22-14-generic. Does anyone have a workaround?

[Bug 55532] Re: ipw2200 not working: Failed to send TX_POWER

2006-10-11 Thread Mark Dehus
I have a Tecra A4 with the same issue. I was able to resolve it once before by
adding some options to my grub config, but they recently got whacked on a
kernel update. After an hour or two of digging (again) I found the thread that
fixed my problem
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=234304highlight=ipw2200+irq

Try adding lapic and irqpoll to your boot options and see if that
resolves your problem.

To do so..

$ sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst
Scroll down till you see a line that says ## ## End Default Options ##
Four lines below that you should see a line that starts with the word kernel,
at the end of it add lapic irqpoll (without the quotes).

(DEVELOPERS.. PLEASE DONT WIPE THE ENTIRE GRUB.CONF WHEN YOU UPDATE THE
KERNEL, THIS IS VERY ANNOYING AS I LIKE TO KEEP MY BOOT OPTIONS!)
