Re: [Bug 555286] Re: Kernel crash when switching off wlan after wlan hangup (iwl3945)

2011-01-03 Thread Mark K
Have you tried to change the wireless chanel on your router? That fixed it
for me. Seems interference causes some strange errors.

Good luck

Mark

Title:
Kernel crash when switching off wlan after wlan hangup (iwl3945)

Status in X.org XServer - ATI gfx chipset driver:
 Confirmed
Status in “linux” package in Ubuntu:
 Confirmed

Bug description:
 Hi,

when I'm watching Zattoo (online tv) my wlan connection dies after a few
minutes. Automatic reconnect is not possible, syslog shows the following
error messages:

Apr 4 20:21:21 r60 kernel: [ 727.542280] No probe response from AP

As a workaround I have to switch wlan off and on, while doing this in one of
ten cases I get the kernel oops I'm reporting here. The Problems are
probably related.

2010-08-16 Thread Mark K.
Meng, thanks for the solution. It seems (cross fingers) to be working
on my m11x.

[Bug 555286] Re: Kernel crash when switching off wlan after wlan hangup (iwl3945)

2010-05-06 Thread Mark K
I have the exact same issue. I am running a Dell Mini 9 and installing
the mainline kernel (http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-
ppa/mainline/v2.6.34-rc6-lucid/) did not fix the issue for me.
