[Bug 57606] ipw2200: Can't connect to networks on channels 11
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.17 I don't know if this is the case on dapper too, but when I moved my AP to channel 13 today (because of interference on other channels), the ipw2200 in my laptop couldn't connect anymore. Apparently, the EEPROM of my card has 'Geography ZZM' which doesn't allow for this: [17179590.336000] ipw2200: Detected geography ZZM (11 802.11bg channels, 0 802.11a channels) The problem is: I'm in the Netherlands, where 13 channels are perfectly allowed. The ipw2200 driver doesn't seem to have a mechanism for switching this 'geography' value, which leaves channels 12 and 13 unusable. They do (or at least, channel 13 does) work in Windows, on the same laptop. ** Affects: linux-source-2.6.17 (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- ipw2200: Can't connect to networks on channels 11 https://launchpad.net/bugs/57606 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 57606] Re: ipw2200: Can't connect to networks on channels 11
Uhr, your geography is ZZD and it says '13 channels', so it should work on channel 13... -- ipw2200: Can't connect to networks on channels 11 https://launchpad.net/bugs/57606 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 54819] Re: Printers found by 'browsing' (autodetect on network) get wrong default paper size

[Bug 54819] Printers found by 'browsing' (autodetect on network) get wrong default paper size
Public bug reported: I have a printer, loaded with A4 paper, on my network. Locally on the print server, printing works correctly ('A4' is the default paper size, and it's listed in the PPD as default size too). On other machines on the network, the paper size gets set to US-Letter, which is plainly wrong. ** Affects: cupsys (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed ** Changed in: gnome-cups-manager (Ubuntu) Sourcepackagename: gnome-cups-manager = cupsys -- Printers found by 'browsing' (autodetect on network) get wrong default paper size https://launchpad.net/bugs/54819 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
