[Bug 127693] Re: dolphin konqueror like servicemenu support
I posted this bug on bugs.kde.org ( http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=160319 ) and received a response that it's a case of distributions doing a correct installation of service-menus. From the response I got this certainly isn't 'intended behaviour' from the KDE point of view. Should this not be marked as 'bug'? -- dolphin konqueror like servicemenu support https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/127693 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Team, which is a direct subscriber. -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
[Bug 127693] Re: dolphin konqueror like servicemenu support
Little addition: Now that we're moving to KDE4 (where Konqueror uses Dolphin for file management) the option of using Konqueror to access these features will no longer exist. I'm using KDE4 now and there is now way to access any service menu: you have to open the app to accomplish anything. [Bug 150333] Re: More magic for Kubuntu
Is part of the problem that currently there is KDE 3.x and KDE 4.x to support? It means duplicated effort in getting KDE up to speed - and any improvements worked over from Gnome to KDE will need to go to both versions of the desktop (for the forseeable future). So, where do you need most help? This bug the brainstorm keeps getting featured on KDE's dot ( http://dot.kde.org/1206954953/1207066710/ ) so if you ask, perhaps you'll get the awareness and developers you need! I'd like to help (have worked on bugchecking etc.) although the current situation seems kind of overwhelming to dig into. [Bug 159276] Re: phpmyadmin package does not work out of the box
Blowfish error makes it impossible to use phpmyadmin after first install - this is on a clean install of Hardy (amd64) although I have had the same problem on every clean install of Ubuntu I've attempted. The error message requests, although a passphrase is in the following file: /var/lib/phpmyadmin/blowfish_secret.inc.php If you copy that passphrase and paste it into: /etc/phpmyadmin/blowfish_secret.inc.php It will start phpmyadmin fine. My understanding is that the second file is the Debian config file (i.e. the one that is being used) from the package, but I'm not sure where the second one is coming from - it doesn't seem to be in the package itself. Thijs: Are you sure you're testing this on a new install? I have fixed this problem a number of times in the past and always forget about it after the fact :) -- phpmyadmin package does not work out of the box https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/159276 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 48627] Re: Poor resolution of database locked problem
Confirmed hardy beta (64bit). This bug was the only way I figured out how to fix it. I was having multiple problems with Adept refusing to install/resintall certain package before this happened. Then after a few attempts it refused to open. Using `dpkg --configure -a` allowed Adept to restart fixed the package commit problems earlier. Maybe there are two bugs: One that Adept doesn't notice the db is hosed when it fails to commit one that doesn't notice the db is hosed when it can't start. -- Poor resolution of database locked problem https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/48627 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
