[Bug 361205] Re: Tracker uses notifications with actions when the index is corrupt

2009-04-18 Thread Martin Heitzer
@Chris Coulson: The packages from your PPA fixed it for me, which
means that they behaved as you described it, including the manual
reindexing by right-click on the tracker-applet.

The initial problem of the permanently corrupted indexes could only be
fixed by deleting ~/.cache/tracker (as Hector Louzao suggested above).

Thanks for the good work!

[Bug 359518] Re: acroread failed to update in 8.10

2009-04-12 Thread Martin Heitzer
According to the comments it seems to me that this bug is caused of the
single update of the acroread package to version 9.1.0-*.
Strong hint to that: Other packages of the acroread family are not available
from the medibuntu repository at the moment (most likely because they are being
updated). Be patient or try the workaround, as they work fine.

Lionel, cab you say a bit more about this, as you are a member of the
medibuntu packaging team?

[Bug 194883] [NEW] firefox crashes with SIGSEGV when trying to watch a flash video

2008-03-07 Thread Martin Heitzer (theravingsociety)
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

Firefox 3.0 beta crashes reproducably when I try to watch any flash video, e.g.
on Youtube.
This seems to be a beta 3 issue, as I have Swiftweasel 3.0 beta 2 installed as
a second browser - which uses exactly the same add-ons and plugins and doesn't
have this problems.

[Bug 188380] [NEW] [Hardy] Eclipse applications show error Could not initialize the application's security component

2008-02-02 Thread Martin Heitzer (theravingsociety)
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: eclipse

Eclipse applications (here: my manual installation of Azureus) show the
following error when starting:

Could not initialize the application's security component. The most
likely cause is problems with files in your application's profile
directory. Please check that this directory has no read/write
restrictions and your hard disk is not full or close to full. It is
recommended that you exit the application and fix the problem. If you
continue to use this session, you might see incorrect application
behaviour when accessing security features.

After this, Azureus shows it's normal behaviour.

The problem can be fixed by creating the directory
$HOME/.mozilla/eclipse manually, so I think this is a bug in this
package.

[Bug 134470] Re: [needs-packaging]Metamorphose

2007-11-17 Thread Martin Heitzer
I also would appreciate to see this program included in universe, as I think it
is more intuitive - especially to newbies - than purrr.
I also don't think this should be too difficult, as getdeb.net is offering
ubuntu packages that work fine.
