[Bug 1107866] Re: Show window list when right clicking an icon in launcher - enables quick window switching

2013-04-24 Thread marting
This is already a good improvement for unity!

But only a small tweak of this feature would give it another HUGE step
forward: A closing button for each entry in the list! It would give the
user a possibility to very quickly close several instances of a program
(eg. pop-ups of firefox).

[Bug 51991] Re: Xorg process freezes, uses 100% of CPU. Can be killed by remote terminal.

2007-12-17 Thread MartinG
I am getting the same problem. Xorg goes into an apparent cpu loop,
nothing at all response except for mouse pointer movement. The only way
to get back is a "kill -9" sshd from another machine.

My hardware is ati radeon 9200se. From the other reports though, it
doesn't seem graphics card specific.

I've tried to find patterns to when it locks, but can't. It happens
usually after about 20 minutes of desktop use, but has been much less
and much more on occasion.

[Bug 124406] Re: Keyboard keys get stuck and repeat (Feisty, Gutsy)

2007-11-28 Thread MartinG
I see this as well. Also, I think it is a duplicate of #161845. Does
anyone agree?

This looks like a duplicate of #107859 to me.

[Bug 107859] Re: ThinkPad R40e Keyboard/Mouse/Trackpoint regularly unresponsive on Feisty Release

2007-10-01 Thread MartinG
ec_intr=0 does work as a workaround, but can hardly be considered a fix!
(unless it is inserted into grub.conf automatically during install for
example)

[Bug 107859] Re: ThinkPad R40e Keyboard/Mouse/Trackpoint regularly unresponsive on Feisty Release

2007-09-20 Thread MartinG
I tried upgrading to gutsy pre-release to see if it has been fixed, but
unfortunately not and there's no sign of it being fixed before the final
release either.

In the absence of anyone looking at this, or even giving instructions on
how I can help out myself, it looks like I'm going to have to change
back to dapper or try another distro.

[Bug 75135] Re: installation fails due to tty error

2007-06-04 Thread MartinG
I'm getting the same problem on my athlon64 machine, and a friend is
also seeing this on a dell desktop. Both these machines install edgy
without any problems.

I'm willing to help if there is anything I can do to diagnose this?
