I believe this issue has been solved upstream some time ago, but I can't be 100% certain as I rarely use Banshee these days. Public bug reported: Binary package hint: banshee When I close Banshee it doesn't save the positions of the panes that I had (Browser, Genre, etc...). When Banshee is restarted, the panes reset to strange positions. I have included a screenshot of before and after restarting banshee.
