[Bug 222256] Re: small fonts in epiphany

2010-10-02 Thread Matijs van Zuijlen
I'm still seeing this problem in Epiphany 2.30.6 on Debian. No
mscorefont in sight.

My Ubuntu system has a sufficiently low DPI to make the fonts readable,
but they're much smaller than in Firefox there as well. No mscorefont
there either.

Perhaps there is a more generic font problem that is triggered by the
mscorefonts installer and also some other fonts?

[Bug 498336] Re: Wireless network card stopped working with ubuntu 9.10

2010-07-30 Thread Matijs van Zuijlen
I have found that the trick of removing the firmware I described in #86
produces mixed results: Sometimes everything will work on boot-up,
sometimes I need to suspend and resume to make things work. Sometimes
even that doesn't seem to work. So, if this does not work for you, try a
suspend/resume cycle and see what happens.

[Bug 498336] Re: Wireless network card stopped working with ubuntu 9.10

2010-05-08 Thread Matijs van Zuijlen
@Youri / #88,

It does say "New link status: Connected" so it must somehow be
connected, right?

What leads you to conclude that it doesn't connect?

Have you set the security of your router to WEP?

[Bug 498336] Re: Wireless network card stopped working with ubuntu 9.10

2010-05-06 Thread Matijs van Zuijlen
I just moved the file /lib/firmware/agere_sta_fw.bin out of the way (and
for good measure, agere_ap_fw.bin as well), reloaded the airport and
orinoco modules, and wireless is working again (using WEP).

This is on an 800 MHz iBook (G3).

The infamous eth1: Lucent/Agere firmware doesn't support manual roaming
still shows up, but a connection is still made.

[Bug 463471] Re: karmic regression: logcheck prints CRON CMD lines

2009-11-28 Thread Matijs van Zuijlen
Trebacz, as I understand it if you use the server profile, ignores from
both server and paranoid are used. So server ignores anything that
paranoid ignores, and workstation ignores anything that server or
paranoid ignore.

[Bug 222256] Re: small fonts in epiphany

2009-10-23 Thread Matijs van Zuijlen
Adjusting the minimal font size does help in making text readable, but
the result is that, e.g., headings that would have a smaller size than
the minimal font size will have the same size as the text. That's not
what I want in a graphical browser.

[Bug 389148] [NEW] package fontconfig 2.6.0-1ubuntu12 failed to install/upgrade:

2009-06-18 Thread Matijs van Zuijlen
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: fontconfig

During upgrade to 9.04, the installation of many packages failed because
defoma refused to run, claiming it might already be running. Update
manager tried unsuccesfully to finsih the upgrade by running dpkg
--configure -a. I had to run defoma-reconfigure -f manually in order to
fix the problem. After that, running dpkg --configure -a succesfully
finished the upgrade.
