2008-12-12 Thread Matt Neilson
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we can't fix it because your description
didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read How
to report bugs effectively
http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful
if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at
http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the
problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!

[Bug 285007] [NEW] bluetooth mouse does not reconnect on wake from suspend

2008-10-17 Thread Matt Neilson
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: bluez-gnome

Using bluez-gnome in Kubuntu Intrepid due to the current issues with KDE
and BlueZ. Using bluetooth-applet and bluetooth-wizard, I can
sucessfully pair my bluetooth mouse (Logitech v470) and it works fine.
After suspend to RAM, mouse faiis to automatically reconnect, and using
the reconnect button in bluetooth-applet also fails. In order to use
the mouse again, it's necessary to delete the mouse from the list of
paired devices and add it as a new device again with bluetooth-wizard.

2008-09-10 Thread Matt Neilson
All present and installable with this update, although there seems to be
an issue with Parallels.

At first run, an error notification pops up saying Module vm-main is
not found! Parallels Workstation 2.2 is installed, but it has not been
configured for your running kernel. To configure it please login as root
and run parallels-config.

sudo parallels-config does not remedy the issue, and neither does log-
out/log-in cycle. sudo modprobe vm-main yields FATAL: Module vm_main

[Bug 198052] Re: GUI hangs while generating a password

2008-03-03 Thread Matt Neilson
I cannot replicate this bug with the version installed in Gusty. Are
you using this, or the version in Hardy? Please post the output of
uname -a. Also, please post the settings within keepassx that causes
the hang.

[Bug 195630] Re: Can't change permissions on a folder with nautilus.

2008-02-25 Thread Matt Neilson
Confirmed on gutsy. File permissions are applied to files in the
directory when the 'Apply permissions to enclosed files' button is
pressed, but those permissions are not placed on new files created in
the folder.

[Bug 195598] Re: gtk open dialog, location bar

2008-02-25 Thread Matt Neilson
I can confirm this, but this might be more of a user preference rather
than a bug. You do not need to erase the location bar to be able to
type-select your file. Press the down arrow twice, and you've moved
from the location bar to the file list, where you can type select
'secondone' by typing 's'.
