[Bug 1176305] Re: Support for Feitian ePass2003

[Bug 1234366] [NEW] cover art not loaded on phones without cellular data

2013-10-02 Thread Matthew Fischer
Public bug reported:

Build: 75+

We have 3 sample tracks in the sevilerow project that come pre-loaded
when you install saucy-customized. When the phone comes up and has 3g
the cover art seems to be pulled from last.fm, this works fine for Chris
Wayne (cwayne18). However, on phones (like mine) which lack cellular
data (3g) the album art is not loaded, even after I enable Wifi and
reboot the phone. I think that mediascanner may only scan the files once
and hence skips loading the art for mine, but that's just a guess.

Repro steps:
1) Install saucy-customized or saucy-proposed-customized
2) Boot the phone without a SIM card or a SIM w/o 3g
3) Note the 3 tracks that don't have any album art.

** Affects: mediascanner (Ubuntu)

So, I am still working on this. I'm fairly certain we can drop one of
the two changes that we're holding. Given how much bzr chokes on this
merge it would be a huge win for us. I've pinged Kees to confirm that
his old vs new text means it's okay to drop. If that works, I'll propose
a merge and then see if we can get the remaining change upstreamed too.

[Bug 565252] Re: latest opensc code for openssl engine broken

2013-07-17 Thread Matthew Fischer
Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. May 9, 2013 reached EOL on May 9,
2013.
See this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Releases

From what I see, the code that's problematic has been refactored. I'm working
on a new upload for saucy, can you
retry it then?

2013-07-14 Thread Matthew Fischer
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. However, I am closing it because the bug has been fixed
in the latest development version of Ubuntu - Saucy Salamander.

This is a significant bug in Ubuntu. If you need a fix for the bug in
previous versions of Ubuntu, please do steps 1 and 2 of the SRU
Procedure [1] to bring the need to a developer's attention.

Confirmed that it is also not working for me. 1.10-0ubuntu2 should have
fixed this. Oddly when I enable and disable it, I see some flickering in
the systray area, but it never shows up.

Thank you for reporting this bug to Ubuntu. Oneiric reached EOL on May 9, 2013.
See this document for currently supported Ubuntu releases:

I've tried recreating this bug with raring and saucy and was unable to,
given the information you've provided. Please upgrade to the latest
version and re-test. If the bug is still reproducible, increase the
verbosity of the steps to recreate it so we can try again.

+ [Regression Potential]
+ The potential here is that Rhythmbox will not work correctly and may crash.
Freeing memory that is actually needed later will result in a segfault. If this
happened users would experience crashes when playing music. However, I feel
this risk is mitigated via testing and the fact that this code has been used
upstream for over a year now. I did check the gir library because I was
concerned that a breakage may affect other pieces, but it appears that only
rhythmbox itself and plugins uses it.
+
+ [Explanation of Fix]
+ I cherry picked commits from June of 2012 from Rhythmbox's git tree to build
the patch. These commits are already in use in Q and R. The commits I pulled
are from the 2 upstream gnome bugs:
+ https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=678208
+
+ After examining these commits, I found that 7ea940f doesn't apply, the file
it patches doesn't exist in this version. Also commit 5b281f5 was
+ superceded by 7cdf4cd. This leaves the following commits in the patch:
0c5a47c 7cdf4cd fc1e8ca 3dec1ff ad8ab01 96aa2cd 5b281f5 195c2a7 8999cca
+
+ I then built a copy of rhythmbox and installed it. Here are the results
+ from running Test 1 from above with the patch applied, as you can see
+ the mem leak is corrected:
+
+ ufa@localhost:~$ while true; do smem -H -P ^rhythmbox; sleep 10; done

I'm working on backporting to Precise now, the results are promising.
I'll see if we can get a SRU approved.

2013-06-03 Thread Matthew Fischer
It crashed for me too just now, the install was almost complete. I was
also using 64-bit and the daily from today. When I clicked on the button
where it said it was going to collect more data, it hung. Marking to
Confirmed.

[Bug 1187225] [NEW] autosync_max_age_days doesn't work

2013-06-03 Thread Matthew Fischer
Public bug reported:

Thunderbird 17.0.6 (17.0.6+build1-0ubuntu0.12.04.1)
Ubuntu 12.04

autosync_max_age_days does not appear to be working in precise (12.04).
I had a clean precise install (VM and on real hardware). I changed the
setting to limit the downloads to 14 days. I then setup my gmail account
(IMAP) and thunderbird is downloading everythnig, headers and messages,
with no apparent time limit. I expect this feature to either a) only
download emails 14 days old or b) download all headers, but only
message bodies 14 days old, it is doing neither.

For example, I have a folder called Family. Thunderbird has pulled 11M
of emails from that folder, which is every single message. Using vi, I
can see that it not only pulled all the headers, but all the text of
emails back to 2004, including attachments. I stopped using this Folder
a long time ago, in fact the most recent email is from 2007, so why is
it pulling any of these?

I can provide some sanitized mail files or headers if needed or logs. Let me
know what you need.
