[Bug 584529] Re: Thunderbird complains there is no connection on resume from suspend, when there is a connection

[Bug 575186] Re: X locks up on Thinkpad X201 i5 Laptop
After around 6 weeks I got a freeze again. My machine is running on a custom Ubuntu-2.6.32.11 kernel (patched for the x201 internal GSM modem). I know that it's not an official one, but pherhaps the following information can help anyway. The "visual effects" have been disabled all the time. For the first 3 weeks I've been using no external display. For the second 3 weeks I've been using an external 19 inch display configured to be on the LEFT side of my notebook screen. 4 days ago I switched back to my main external display, which has 24 inches an it's configured to be on the RIGHT side of my notebook screen. Today I got that X lock again. I can confirm this issue in Lucid. I got this "checking-lock" several times and if I remember correctly, for me it actually happened only after a suspend (closing the lid). [Bug 356152] Re: update-manager doesn't show updates, even after 1 week
I'm also confused because of the update-notifier's behavior. I changed the regular_auto_launch_interval to 0 (comment #53) and will see if it changes the behavior to what I would expect by default. I use version 2.30.0.1-0ubuntu3 of gwibber and I had the same problem as discribed by Niko in comment #36. After I removed gwibber on my facebook account I could authorize it with gwibber and the buttons appeared. I also fully agree with Niko's assumption in comment #37! [Bug 587512] [NEW] First imap connection after a new established network connection fails with "Failed to connect to server"
Public bug reported: Binary package hint: thunderbird The dialog "Failed to connect to server xy" appears although there is a working network connection. Steps to reproduce: 1. Close Thunderbird 2. Disconnect your network connection (in my case it is wireless) 3. Open Thunderbird 4. Expected dialogs "Failed to connect to server xy" - since there is no network connection. 5. Click all the dialogs away with ok. 6. Connect your network. 7. Open your favorite website in e.g. Firefox - just to make sure the network connection works. 8. Click "Get Mail" in Thunderbird. 9.
