[Bug 347587] Re: [4500MHD] X asserts on pI830-batch_ptr != 0 on resume from suspend (UXA bug)
Confirming this bug on a Thinkpad T500. Fix is not in, the problem still appears with xserver-xorg-video-intel version 2:2.6.3-0ubuntu9. lspci says: 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller [8086:2a42] (rev 07) -- [4500MHD] X asserts on pI830-batch_ptr != 0 on resume from suspend (UXA bug) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/347587 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 303011] Re: [i945] 2.5.1 driver poor performance
Also confirming this on jaunty alpha 4. [Bug 327021] Re: kUbuntu Desktop Effects Really Slow
Confirming this bug on a Lenovo Thinkpad T500 with Intel GMA 4500MHD (Cantiga) graphics. This does not seem to be just a KDE Problem, compiz is just as slow. Moving windows works well, but opening/closing/minimizing/restoring lags horribly (half a second or more). Animations of any kind are unusable. Compositing on the same Hardware worked very well in Intrepid. I've been going through Xorg.log and syslog, but found nothing helpful. -- kUbuntu Desktop Effects Really Slow https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/327021 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 287215] Re: [intrepid] xmodmap settings not getting honored when keyboard devices are hotplugged
Confirming this bug on a Thinkpad T500. The internal keyboard keeps its settings, but external ones loose them whenever plugged in or after suspend. -- [intrepid] xmodmap settings not getting honored when keyboard devices are hotplugged https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/287215 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 293139] Re: NetworkManager does not use dhclient-exit-hooks.d, DNSSEC does not work
Confirming this bug on KUbuntu Intrepid AMD64. This also breaks automatic setting of WINS servers (/etc/dhcp3/dhclient- enter-hooks.d/samba), which is necessary for proper SMB networking if the network setup is non-trivial. In my case, I have a Samba server in a different subnet that isn't accessible unless the 'wins server' option is set in the smb.conf, either manually or by the script above. I googled around for a bit, but found nothing on how to replicate this functionality with resolvconf. -- NetworkManager does not use dhclient-exit-hooks.d, DNSSEC does not work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/293139 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 276943] Re: Resume from suspend doesn't not work on the Mobile 4 Series chipsets
Confirming this bug on a Thinkpad T500. This seems to be a multiprocessor concurrency issue. There is a workaround on UbuntuForums: http://ubuntuforums.org/showpost.php?p=6105510postcount=12 that fixes the problem by temporarily disabling all but one processor cores on suspend. -- Resume from suspend doesn't not work on the Mobile 4 Series chipsets https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/276943 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 108527] Re: X freezes when compiz is enabled on ATI cards
I have the same problem on a ThinkPad T40p (ATI FireGL M9). Output of lspci -vn is attached. The problem appears to be triggered by any use of 3D accceleration, I managed to provoke it by playing neverball without having compiz enabled. While X freezes completely, other apps seem unaffected, I had Amarok playing streaming internet radio several times when the freeze occured. I don't have a second machine right now to ssh into my laptop, so I can't attach any gbd output. ** Attachment added: lspci-vn-t40p.txt http://launchpadlibrarian.net/10214608/lspci-vn-t40p.txt -- X freezes when compiz is enabled on ATI cards https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/108527 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 64562] Re: 80% cpu used apt-index-watch
*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 64531 *** Confirming. This is particularly bad on laptops, as apt-index-watcher uses enough CPU time to cause the processor clock to be increased to maximum for a short time. -- 80% cpu used apt-index-watch https://launchpad.net/bugs/64562 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
