[Bug 274593] Re: NetworkManager does not activate Wired connection when DHCP server not present
I was bit by this bug today: I'm out of office for a week, and yesterday the network was down for several hours. Now my computer in the office doesn't have an IP address, and won't take a new one even when my colleague pulled the network cable and plugged it back in. I'm the only one with a user account to my computer, so I guess power cycling it is the only option. [Bug 95569] Re: CPU frequency scaling causes crash
I am also experiencing crashes related to CPU frequency scaling. I have a dual core processor (Core 2 Duo E6600) and every time I run a heavy process the computer freezes once the process is finished and load goes to zero. If I run e.g. glxgears with nice 19 in the background, this does not occur. I can also fix this by saying sudo chmod +s /usr/bin/cpufreq-selector and setting both cores to "performance" (i.e. full frequency all the time). This happens both in edgy and feisty. However, one of the first Feisty alpha kernels did not have this bug. If I remember correctly it was 2.6.19-7. My motherboard is Abit AB9 with latest BIOS. [Bug 84964] Re: Crash from ide_pci from generic.ko for jmicron controllers
I have two systems with a JMicron-controller. First one has an Asus Commando motherboard, and it works perfectly as of 2.6.20-13. The second one with Abit AB9 still does not work however. HOWEVER, ata5 corresponds to my primary hard disk, which is not connected to JMicron, rather it is connected to ICH8 SATA-port. So this may be a different bug altogether.
