[Bug 1826290] Re: geoclue mozilla location api key rate limited

2019-04-25 Thread Matti Pulkkinen
I tried it again just now (roughly around the same time of day I tried
this previously):

$ curl https://location.services.mozilla.com/v1/geolocate?key=geoclue
{"error":{"code":403,"message":"You have exceeded your daily
limit.","errors":[{"domain":"usageLimits","message":"You have exceeded your
daily limit.","reason":"dailyLimitExceeded"}]}}

[Bug 1826290] Re: geoclue mozilla location api key rate limited

2019-04-25 Thread Matti Pulkkinen
I would imagine that the currently shipped API key of "geoclue" is some
kind of universal default. Now that the use of keys is apparently being
monitored and limited, perhaps it would be possible for Ubuntu to
register its own key, and then ship that with this package?

[Bug 1730502] Re: gstreamer1.0-vaapi prevents thumbnail generation of videos

2018-11-06 Thread Matti Pulkkinen
In addition to simply not getting any thumbnails, I saw very high CPU
and RAM use by tumblerd after using Thunar to open a directory with lots
of videos in it. Checking the journal, I also saw a bunch of messages
saying "kernel: i915 :00:02.0: Resetting vcs0 after gpu hang".
Uninstalling this package enabled thumbnail generation again, and I no
longer see either of these other two issues.
