[Bug 1953347] [NEW] proftpd cannot load mod_vroot

2021-12-06 Thread Maurício Severich
Public bug reported:

Greetings,

To use the proftpd-mod-vroot module in the proftpd service, I added to
the modules configuration file (/etc/proftpd/modules.conf) the line:

LoadModule mod_vroot.c

Using this setting, proftpd logs now show the error:

proftpd[1061024]: mod_dso/0.5: unable to load 'mod_vroot.c'; check to see if
'/usr/lib/proftpd/mod_vroot.la' exists
proftpd[1061024]: fatal: LoadModule: error loading module 'mod_vroot.c': No
such file or directory on line 109 of '/etc/proftpd/modules.conf'
proftpd[1061024]: warning: unable to include '/etc/proftpd/modules.conf':
Operation not permitted

The package only provides the mod_vroot.so file
$ dpkg -L proftpd-mod-vroot | grep lib
/usr/lib
/usr/lib/proftpd
/usr/lib/proftpd/mod_vroot.so

Additionally, the /etc/proftpd/modules.conf file fails to load due to
LoadModule failure.

This issue has also been reported in:

2018-11-26 Thread Tiago Maurício
I am running Ubuntu 16.04 with plasma. I was experiencing this issue and
downgraded the network-manager package to 1.2.2-0ubuntu0.16.04.4. Since
the downgrade I haven't had any trouble. Waiting for fix in the latest
version :)

Quando clico no botão azul, aparece em seguida uma mensagem de que será

mas então o menu de doação some e a tela fica um pouco mais escura, indicando
um congelamento. Clicando em reload page, começo tudo de novo e novamente não

[Bug 814833] Re: Opening the dash is very slow and laggy

2012-11-23 Thread Maurício Goulart
Hi,
I was using 12.04 and the Dash were fine.

Now, after upgrading to 12.10 I'm experiencing this problem, and here the Dash
is much more slower in maximized mode (which I normally use).
I've also noticed the increase of CPU use with the Dash opened.

Selecting 'no blur' in ccsm made some difference but is still slower
than 12.04.

Since I've already have the upgraded version of nux, probably it's not bug
1064834.
Any ideas for a workaround?

[Bug 887104] Re: Can not login to Windows Live Messenger

2011-11-10 Thread Maurício Severich
I noticed there was an update for the package libmsn0.3 available on the
official repository, however I believe there was some mistake because the
package is dated May 31 and does not solve the problem.
So, I'm still using a homemade libmsn0.3 package for amd64 with the
corrections from the original tarball
(http://sf.net/projects/libmsn/files/libmsn/4.2)

Or you can just go to System = Preferences = Assistive Technologies
and uncheck 'Enable assistive technologies', in case you activated them
accidentally by trying Orca. This is better than actually uninstalling
Orca and at-spi.

Of course, the problem still remains for users that want/need those
accessibility features.

[Bug 199533] Re: Device 0 (vif) could not be connected. Hotplug scripts not working.

2008-03-19 Thread Maurício Magalhães
Todd, No problema
My Problems

= I can not access the network by domU! Already tried everything and nothing
= Some distributions downloaded by xen-tools domU eg: gutsy, faisty freeze
in /etc/ rc.local
= The dapper in domU starts with this error below, but it works:
  [...]
18 12:57:55 ecolx02 kernel: Can not find map file.
Mar 18 12:57:55 ecolx02 kernel: No module loaded symbols - kernel
modules not enabled.
Mar 18 12:57:55 ecolx02 kernel:; this will be ignored in a future
version kernel
  [...]
== ==
* The one that really started it was totally the centos0s5
But in all cases above, I can not make the DOMU access the network.

Any suggestions?

Tanks

Re: [Bug 106549] Re: [apport] ubiquity crashed with ImportError in module()

2007-07-06 Thread Maurício Andretta
Evan,

No. I could successfully install 7.04 in my desktop. I took considerable
time during the installation, and I was afraid that it would take that time
on every boot. But it didn't happen. It starts fast and with no problems.

Thanks for asking!

Regards,

Maurício
