Public bug reported: Greetings, To use the proftpd-mod-vroot module in the proftpd service, I added to the modules configuration file (/etc/proftpd/modules.conf) the line: LoadModule mod_vroot.c Using this setting, proftpd logs now show the error: proftpd[1061024]: mod_dso/0.5: unable to load 'mod_vroot.c'; check to see if '/usr/lib/proftpd/mod_vroot.la' exists proftpd[1061024]: fatal: LoadModule: error loading module 'mod_vroot.c': No such file or directory on line 109 of '/etc/proftpd/modules.conf' proftpd[1061024]: warning: unable to include '/etc/proftpd/modules.conf': Operation not permitted The package only provides the mod_vroot.so file $ dpkg -L proftpd-mod-vroot | grep lib /usr/lib /usr/lib/proftpd /usr/lib/proftpd/mod_vroot.so Additionally, the /etc/proftpd/modules.conf file fails to load due to LoadModule failure. I am running Ubuntu 16.04 with plasma. I was experiencing this issue and downgraded the network-manager package to 1.2.2-0ubuntu0.16.04.4. Since the downgrade I haven't had any trouble. [Bug 814833] Re: Opening the dash is very slow and laggy
Hi, I was using 12.04 and the Dash were fine. Now, after upgrading to 12.10 I'm experiencing this problem, and here the Dash is much more slower in maximized mode (which I normally use). I've also noticed the increase of CPU use with the Dash opened. Selecting 'no blur' in ccsm made some difference but is still slower than 12.04. Since I've already have the upgraded version of nux, probably it's not bug 1064834. Or you can just go to System = Preferences = Assistive Technologies and uncheck 'Enable assistive technologies', in case you activated them accidentally by trying Orca. This is better than actually uninstalling Orca and at-spi. Evan, No. I could successfully install 7.04 in my desktop. I took considerable time during the installation, and I was afraid that it would take that time on every boot. But it didn't happen.
