[Bug 294623] [NEW] GetLive: command not found

2008-11-06 Thread Maxime Steisel
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mail-notification

mail-notification cannot fetch mail from hotmail. Linking
/usr/local/bin/GetLive to /usr/bin/getlive fixes the problem.

Ubuntu intrepid, mail-notification_5.4.dfsg.1-1build1

[Bug 138325] Re: Unable to mount root fs after upgrade to 2.6.22-11.32

2008-10-19 Thread Maxime Steisel
I have the same bug when updating hardy to intrepid (beta). A fresh install is
just fine.
I also noticed that the grub entries titles are Debian instead of Ubuntu.

[Bug 234473] [NEW] [users-admin] [HARDY] erasing /etc/passwd and /etc/groups when failing to load configuration

2008-05-23 Thread Maxime Steisel
Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-system-tools

When I started users-admin, the list was empty. I didn't know that this
was not normal, so I unlocked the program, added an user and clicked on
OK. The result was quite disastrous since /etc/passwd only had the new
user. I needed to reinstall Ubuntu (and so all logs are lost, sorry). I
think this can be hard to reproduce, but there should be a protection
against that (in particulary, the presence of root should be checked
before the file is written) to avoid such loss.

A related issue is that the rescue mode don't work in this case (it ask
a root passwd) but I'm not even sure this is a bug

[Bug 180177] Re: Solved - [Hardy] Sudo does nothing when prompt for password

2008-04-14 Thread Maxime Steisel
I had this problem too, but I think the upgrade to acpi-support 0.109
had solved it. Anyway, the problem disappeared.
