[Bug 136836] Re: Ethernet (nVidia MCP55) not working [ gutsy, hardy]
I was having problems with large data transfers. My PC's intergrated ethernet port used to go down come up in a few seconds by itself. The solution given above resolved my problem. Though my hardware is differnet, this seems to be a general issue with forcedeth drivers on Ubuntu standard kernels. I am using Hardy 64bit Server on Asus P5N-MX board. [Bug 257517] Re: Please include init script for transmission-daemon
Transmission trac provides a debian script that runs fine on Ubuntu. However, I would also like to have a maintained script. Here is the link http://trac.transmissionbt.com/wiki/HeadlessUsageDebian Just take care of two things. 1) There may be extra linefeed when pasting script text copied from there. You need to carefully check each line or the script will bomb out. 2) In the last step, the command to add init script to runlevels should be $ sudo update-rc.d transmission-daemon defaults -- Please include init script for transmission-daemon https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/257517 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
