I don't know when it happened, but through some upgrade my scanner has
lost function here.

There is no movement inside, it only scans a black image. Sometimes,
rarely I can scan one, but only one image, but directly afterwards it
gives up again.

It does not depend on the pc, because I see the same result on three
different laptops but all with actual Ubuntu 14.04.

Using a live version of 14.04.1 from July 2014 everything works fine.

But: No matter what I set up, closing lid always sends to suspend when
powerconnected, I want to only blank screen.

Oh, and how will I know when to remove the ppa?
