[Bug 149123] Re: gnome main menu missing favorite applications and system options

2008-03-17 Thread Michał Sznajder
Same on me: Documents and Places not visible, System part empty. As
Mariano Stokle wrote I had to

Make a complete remove in synaptic of gnome-main-menu and libslab
Make a new install

Problem appeared after upgrade from 7.04 to 7.10.

[Bug 98759] additional file system link required for ld to work with nvidia-glx

2007-03-29 Thread Michał Sznajder
Public bug reported:

I tried to compile renouveau in Feisty Beta. However I was getting
errors during link phase:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~/nouveau/renouveau$ make
cc -g -Wall `sdl-config --cflags` re.o detection.o tests.o xvmc_tests.o main.o
NVCtrl.o objects.o ioctl.o regl.o nv20_vtxprog.o nv30_vtxprog.o nv40_vtxprog.o
nv30_fragprog.o nv40_fragprog.o disasm_shader.o -o renouveau `sdl-config
--libs` -L/usr/X11R6/lib -lXext -lXvMCNVIDIA -lXvMC -lXv
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lXvMCNVIDIA
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [renouveau] Błąd 1

I had to manually create link in /usr/lib/ to make ld work:
 ln -s /usr/lib/libXvMCNVIDIA.so.1.0.9755 /usr/lib/libXvMCNVIDIA.so

In my opinion nvidia-glx package should create this link automatically

2007-02-24 Thread Michał Sznajder
debuild was a successes finally. I had problems with libxss: for some reason
debuild thought I had version from feisty. Strange... Anyway after
installing from packages.ubuntu.com a proper version build was OK.

Backtrace generated. Looks like recurrence problem in libgstreamer. Any more
help needed?

Public bug reported:

I have installed latest bootchart. After reboot there is no png in
/var/log/bootchart nor /var/log/bootchart.tar.gz is created. There are
some files in /dev/.bootchart and /dev/.bootchart/log/header exists but
is empty.

/etc/init.d/stop-bootchart start exits after 3 secs without any
output.

I added this to stop-bootchart and a see a but not b on console when I start it

[Bug 83209] system-preferences-sound crash after I click 'Test' next to Sound Capture in the Devices tab.

2007-02-04 Thread Michał Sznajder
Public bug reported:

I was playing with gnome-sound-properties changing Audio
Conferencing-Sound Capture combo and crush dump was generated. After
some more investigation I was able to reproduce this:

1. Go to sound preferences.
2. Make test on one VIA device
3. Make test on other VIA device
4. Test on first device crashes sound preferences.

I did some test and results are attached as video 8). Tests with other
devices result in hanging application.

Video is in polish but I hope you will get the idea.
