Hi Christian, i think it was my fault. I thought that the PATH should be in the file crontab -e is editing. Public bug reported: i wanted to restore missing files on my home. so i right clicked into my home and choosed restore missing files. then a dialog pops up and was listing all objects which are in the backup but not in the current home. i installed 12.04 in virtualbox to test this bug. I installed evolution- exchange but the entries are complety gone now. I am not sure if it is because i am not connected to an exchange-server (dont have a server anymore) or if the fix was causing a new bug. Public bug reported: I am using mdadm to manage a Raid10 volume. One disc is missing at the moment. When i start the system mdadm is telling me this and ask me if i want to boot the degraded raid anyway. The problem i am facing that the keyboard is not working there. its working in the grub-menu and iin the busybox but i cant press y to say boot it anyway. When i press esc the black TTY1 is switching to the violet TTY1 but in none of them the keyboard is working. Tried usb and ps2 keyboard. i dont know if this is a bug in mdadm or in the general tty window. That will result in a switch- back because the monitor-tool is asking if everything is ok, when i do not answer with yes within 15 seconds, the old mode will be used again. So when switching from dual-view to mirror-view ALL windows should be merged to the primary screen. I dont want to use rythmbox to manage my mp3 files, for that i use nautilus/cp. If i want to copy the files to another place i cant do it the normal way i am working with files because they are hidden. Rodney, thank you for your explanations. I guess my real problem is, that i buy something and ubuntu is hidding my paid stuff from me. Of course its not a problem for me to access that path, create a bookmark or press ctrl + h in nautilis, its just that i was wondering where my files are stored and i have to search for them first to see them because its not a good usability (in my opionen) how it is managed now but of course i understand and respect your view. I am the same opinion as vilbara, this should be set to default. If i enter the hostname manually its working http://alpha-unix.de/~iceroot/ubuntu/nm-applet.png strange is with another fritzbox-model and ubuntu 11.10 it was working fine, with ubuntu 12.04 and a newer fritzbox-model its not working. As it seems its a bug in multid on the fritzbox. Dont know if it helps, i am facing the duplicate of this bug (Virtualbox) I removed virtualbox and then reinstalled it sudo apt-get remove virtualbox sudo apt-get install virtualbox and after the new installation i was facing this bug. Public bug reported: on 12.04 (default with unity) i was deleting some video-files (divx). The files were presented which a thumbnail. After deleting the files (shift + del, dont know if there is a difference to normal del in this case) totem was reporting, that it was crashing. Then i can click restart totem. see #8 and specially #9 (last paragraph). We can play ping pong with this bug for the next years. You know how to open the bug correctly, why not just opening the way you think it is correct instead of closing this again and again, its very easy to reproduce and this bug should not be part of a stable release. I found out that the english strings in the program are not shown in launchpad, also they are not inside the de.po-file from the source-package (ubuntu 12.04). so i guess its a bug in terminator itself. If noone is interested in my bug-reports about abiword and just marking them as invalid, its ok, then i will not report any issues about abiword in the future.
