[Bug 543059] Re: openshot crashed with AttributeError in on_btnCancel_clicked()

2014-04-28 Thread Michael Convey
This is an annoying, efficiency-killing bug. What needs to be done to
get this assigned?

Could this be related to Bug #1310052?

[Bug 556524] Re: simple-scan doesn't find networked scanner

2012-12-24 Thread Michael Convey
I had a similar problem simple scan couldn't find my HP Officejet Pro
8500 network printer/scanner, but only sees my locally attached USB
webcam. I installed hplip-gui and it didn't recognize my printer. I
manually added it via it's IP address and now simple scan recognizes my
printer. Thanks!!

[Bug 579804] Re: Store/read tags inside photos

2011-03-11 Thread Michael Convey
I'm just curious if this was fully implemented. I am currently using
F-Spot mainly because it stores meta-data in the image files. According
to the following article, there are three formats (Exif, IPTC, and XMP)
for storing meta-data in the image file:

http://blogs.sitepoint.com/2006/08/24/open-source-image-archiving-exif-
iptc-xmp-and-all-that/

According to the article XMP (standard BSD license) is the holy grail
for storing meta-data in the image file.

Which of these formats does Shotwell support?

If XMP is supported, someone may want to update the following Wikipedia
page to indicate that Shotwell is a supporting tool:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extensible_Metadata_Platform
